Cityjet

CityJet is an Irish airline founded in 1993. In 1996, the carrier established cooperation with Air France, which after a short time took over all the shares of the brand, and then sold them to the German company Intro Avation. In 2014, the brand was bought by a business consortium led by the original founder of the line – Pat Byrne.

The CityJet city network includes European cities (Dublin, London, Amsterdam, Manchester, Newcastle, Florence), but the carrier also operates charter flights for the needs of travel agencies as well as private clients. CityJet also performs cruises for other brands: SAS, Air France, KLM and Brussels Airlines. The main hub of the line is the international airport in Dublin, situated about 10 km from the city center.

Luggage

Each passenger of the CityJet line can bring one free of charge hand baggage onboard of a plane with the dimensions and weight specified by the carrier. In the price of the ticket, each person is also allowed to have one small item that can be brought to the cabin, for example a handbag or a laptop bag. The dimensions of hand luggage as well as of the additional item may vary depending on the model of the aircraft on which the cruise will be carried out.

The CityJet’s registered luggage is also free of charge, and its exact dimensions are provided on the carrier's website. Each person can take with them one registered luggage in the ticket price, but there is a possibility to purchase additional luggage. However, it should be remembered that the total weight of all registered items must fit within the limit set by the carrier.

Booking classes

CityJet offers customers a choice of seats in three booking classes. These are: CityValue, CityFlex and CityPremium. Passengers of each booking class can choose seats on board for free, as well as use free of charge online check-in. Passengers are served free snacks during the flight.

Online check-in

Online check-in with CityJet is free of charge for all passengers. This service is available 48 hours before the flight and ends one hour before the departure. On the carrier's website, fill out the appropriate form – for this purpose, you need to prepare your personal data and those of any travel companions, as well as the flight number and ticket / booking number. After finishing the check-in, remember to print the boarding pass – without it, you will not be able board the plane!

Fleet

Initially, the CityJet’s fleet wasn’t counted among the most modern ones, however, it has been changing for several years. The carrier's flights are served by modern and comfortable airplanes, which are adapted for flights on medium distances. The CityJet’s fleet consists of several dozen aircrafts, and these are machines such as: Avro RJ85, Bombardier CRJ900 and Sukhoi Superjet100. These machines can accommodate an average of 90-98 passengers, have leather seats, and also it  was ensured that the passengers have more space for legs.

The Dublin Airport

Dublin Airport is the main CityJet airport. The airport has two terminals and is the largest airport in Ireland in terms of the number of passengers served. The airport has numerous shops, cafes, restaurants and bars.

The distance from Dublin Airport to the city centre is about 10 km. This route can be covered by city bus or airport bus, taxi or rented car. Unfortunately, there is no direct rail connection between the airport and the center of Dublin.

Refreshments

CityJet offers all passengers, regardless of their booking class, free catering during the flight. You can choose from snacks and drinks – including alcoholic beverages: wine, beer and coctails.

Additional services

The carrier makes it possible to take electronic devices onboard the aircraft and work on them (in flight mode) during the flight. During the cruise, you can relax while reading the Velocity – an on-board magazine.

People who want to purchase additional registered luggage can do it online via the form on the carrier's website. Thanks to this solution, the customer saves 30% of the price.

CityJet also offers charter flights for individuals. Available to customers are comfortable aircrafts that can accommodate 98 people, with leather armchairs and more space for legs. As part of the service, the carrier may set up a personal check-in desk for flight passengers, and even in some cases a private terminal.

CityJet also has a paid service of caring for minors who are traveling alone.
