Lanzarote Airport is a Spanish airport, located about 5 kilometers from the center of Arrecife on the Canary island of Lanzarote. The airport is also known as Guacimeta, from the historical name of the region. The history of the airport dates back to 1936, but civil flights started just after the Second World War, in 1946. Due to the rapid development of tourism industry, the port has gone through numerous modernizations over the years. In 1999, a new terminal operating 6 million passengers a year was launched. Currently, the airport has two terminals - T1 serves domestic and international flights, and T2, which serves flights between the islands of the archipelago. The port plays an extremely important role. It serves millions of tourists visiting this attractive island every year. The airport serves almost 50 regular, low-cost and charter airlines, generating passenger traffic on a yearly basis of over 6.1 million, what puts them in the top ten most visited airports in Spain.

Bus lines run regularly from the airport.
Line 22 connects the airport with the capital of the Arrecife island in 10 minutes. It runs from Monday to Friday, except holidays, every 25 minutes. From the airport to Arrecife it leaves from 7: 00 a.m. to 10:40 p.m. The other way from 6: 55 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Ticket price: EUR 1.40.
Line 23 connects the airport with Arrecife and Playa Honda in just 10 minutes. It runs only on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, every 50 minutes. It leaves the airport to Arrecife and Playa Honda from 7: 10 a.m. to 9: 10 p.m. The other way from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Ticket price: EUR 1.40.
Line 161 connects the airport with Playa Blanca and Puerto del Carmen. From the airport to Playa Blanca and Puerto del Carmen, it leaves from Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The other way from Monday to Friday runs from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Line 261 connects the airport with Playa Blanca and Puerto del Carmen. It runs from Monday to Friday except for holidays.
To the airport, it leaves at 12:25 p.m. and 3:25 p.m.

The daily tariff is valid from 6: 00-22: 00, and the night from 22: 00-6: 00 the same as on Sundays and holidays.
The highway which runs to the airport is LZ-2. At its fourth kilometer, follow the signs, to the airport.

P1 parking is located near the T1 terminal and is appropriate for people using domestic and international flights. P2 parking is located by the T2 terminal, which serves flights between the Canary Islands.
Information – Terminal 1 and 2 contain airport information. In addition, information on individual airlines is available at the Terminal 1.
Disabled people - the airport is adapted to the needs of disabled people and, if necessary, offers assistants help.
Gastronomy - most cafes and restaurants are located in the departures area, available only to passengers, at the T1 terminal.
Shopping - Lanzarote airport has a very wide range of stores - from toy stores, sports articles, bookstores to press stores, alcohol, jewelry, and electronics.
Finances - a bank branch and ATMs are located both in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

Baggage – there is a possibility to protect luggage against damage with a protective foil
