    Almería is a city in southern Spain, the capital of the province of the same name, located on the Mediterranean Sea in Andalusia. Home to nearly 200,000 people, it is renowned for its impressive Alcazaba, a fortress dating back to 955, and the beautiful beaches of the Costa del Sol.
