As a major transport hub, it offers a well-developed network of highways, railways, and an airport. The city boasts the largest port in Europe, providing excellent access to the continent's interior. Although it was destroyed during World War II, it impresses with modern architecture and landmarks like the Gothic St. Lawrence Church.
