Costa Rica

Costa Rica, located in Central America, borders Nicaragua and Panama and is flanked by the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. This mountainous country is dotted with numerous volcanoes, some of which remain active. The capital, San José, sits on the Central Plateau and is home to over half the nation’s population. Costa Rica enjoys a subequatorial climate, with rainfall year-round along the Caribbean coast, while the Pacific coast experiences its wet season from May to December. Average temperatures reach 26 °C along the coast and range from 18 to 20 °C inland. The best time to visit Costa Rica is during the dry season.
