    Georgia
    Georgia, situated at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, is a country in the South Caucasus with a coastline along the Black Sea to the west. Its capital is Tbilisi, and it shares borders with Russia, Armenia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan. The landscape is predominantly mountainous, featuring the Greater Caucasus range with its highest peak, Mount Shkhara (5,193 m), as well as the celebrated Mount Kazbek (5,033.8 m). The climate varies across the country; spring and autumn are the best times to visit, with pleasantly mild temperatures. Since 2023, Georgia has been an official candidate for membership in the European Union.
