Aberdeen
Aberdeen is a city in north-eastern Scotland, set where the rivers Don and Dee flow into the North Sea. It is home to around 198,590 people. It is known as the Granite City because of its many buildings made of that stone. Historically it was a bishopric and an industrial centre, and today it is an important fishing port and service base for oil platforms. Average temperatures range from 1°C in winter to 18°C in summer, and the best time to visit is late spring and summer.
