Kathmandu
Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is situated in the Kathmandu Valley along the Bagmati River. Together with Patan and Bhaktapur, it forms a metropolitan area with over one million residents. Founded in 723, the city is a key industrial hub of the country. Discover landmarks such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, the Swayambhu and Bodnath stupas, and the Pashupatinath Temple. Many of these sites were affected by the 2015 earthquake. The best time to visit is October and November, when the weather is dry and mild.
