Las Palmas
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the capital of Gran Canaria and the province of Las Palmas, is the largest city in the Canary Islands, located in the northeast of the island along the Atlantic Ocean. Home to over 381,000 people, the entire urban area has a population of 619,000. Founded in 1478, the city boasts a rich history centered around the Vegueta district.
