San Sebastian
San Sebastián, also known as Donostia, is the capital of the province of Gipuzkoa in the Basque Country, set on the Bay of Biscay close to the French border. It has around 186 thousand inhabitants and is famous for its picturesque coastline. The city was European Capital of Culture in 2016. It has a subtropical oceanic climate with mild winters and moderately warm summers. The average August temperature is 26°C, and the best time to visit is between May and October.
