Cork
Cork, the second-largest city in Ireland, is situated at the mouth of the River Lee flowing into the Celtic Sea. It is the largest city in the province of Munster. The name Cork comes from the Irish Corcach Mór Mumhan, meaning "Great Marshes of Munster." The city center is located on an island surrounded by the river's channels. Cork is renowned for the historic St. Fin Barre's Cathedral. The temperate climate with mild winters and cool summers makes spring and summer the best times to visit, when temperatures are pleasant.
