      Faro
      Faro is a picturesque city in southern Portugal and the capital of the Algarve region. It has around 60 thousand inhabitants. Its charm lies in the historic old town with its defensive walls and the Sé cathedral. The city also offers beautiful beaches and rich wildlife in the Ria Formosa Natural Park. A Mediterranean climate brings mild winters (around 12-15 °C) and hot summers (around 28-30 °C). The best time to visit is spring and early autumn, when temperatures are pleasant.
