Birmingham Airport is an international airport in the UK, located about 13 km from Birmingham city centre. It supports the entire metropolis and its surroundings. The port has two passenger terminals, which are connected by a passage – “The Millennium Walkway" and a freight terminal. About 50 airlines operate domestic and international flights (to Europe, India, North America, the Middle East, the Caribbean). In 2011, the airport checked-in over 8.5 million passengers, which placed it on the seventh position in the country. There are many hotels near the airport.

There are many bus routes from the city and the surrounding area to the airport. Local buses provide regional communication. Bus stops are located in front of the terminal buildings. Train
There is a train station near the airport. Between the station "Birmingham International Train Station" and terminals from 5:15 am to 2:00 am every 2 minutes there is a free aerial train called Air-Rail Link. The approximate driving time is 2 minutes. Trains from other carriers (Central Trains – local and regional connections, Virgin Trains – direct connections to major cities in the UK) provide connections to various destinations in the UK.
You can also use a taxi. Taxi stands are in front of the terminals. The approximate cost of travel between the airport and Birmingham city centre is around £ 16.

The location of the airport, in the heart of England, is very good and it can be reached very easily. It is located by the A45 road, close to junction 6 and the M42 route. Other roads leading to the airport are M1, M5, M6 Toll and M40.

Shopping – the commercial offer of the airport is quite wide. There are also duty free shops.

Luggage – a lost-and-found office is located in Terminal 1 on the first floor. Luggage carts are available for a fee at several points at the airport.
Passenger service – available to passengers are: rooms for mothers with children, a place of gathering, medical centres. The airport is well prepared for the disabled.
