Emirates
The Emirates airline is owned by the government of the United Arab Emirates. It was established in October 1985. The first flight took place on the Karachi – Bombay route, and in July 1987 the lines reached Europe. The first airport where Emirates plane landed in Europe was London Gatwick. In the mid-1990s, the carrier inaugurated the first flights within Southeast Asia, and specifically with Singapore.
Currently, the lines cover the whole world, including the Polish airport in Warsaw. They are one of the most important and largest intercontinental carriers, the fastest growing, and also the richest in the world. Emirates owes its success to free access to cheap fuel and touristic and business development of the UAE.
