Berlin Schoenefeld is one of the three largest airports in Berlin and the main airport of former East Berlin. This airport has existed since 1934. In 2012, it served over millions of passengers. It is located 18 km southeast of the center of Berlin and about 80 km from the Polish border (Słubice). Three terminals (A, B and C) with a total area of 17 thousand square meters are used to serve passengers. The airport has 47 check-in desks. There is an observation deck on the roof of terminal A. Currently, it is the port on which most aircrafts of low-fare airlines land. There are several hotels near the airport.

Bus
A few hundred meters from the terminal there is a bus stop No. 163 and 171. Line 171 will take us to the nearest Rudow metro station, from there we can get to the city center by metro. The total approximate time of arrival to the center is 50 minutes. Tickets can be purchased in the vending machine at the exit from the airport. You can obtain the Welcome Card – a ticket valid for 72 hours for all ABC zones from the moment of being deleted. Additionally, 3 children under the age of 14 can travel on this ticket. This ticket also entitles you to a 50% discount in many museums.
Rail
At an approximate distance of 500 m from the airport, there is an airport railway station. Between the airport and the airport train station, buses 163 and 171 run every 10 minutes. You can also easily walk, which should take no more than 7 minutes. Every half hour there is an AirPortExpress train marked RE4 and RE5 that can take you to Berlin Ostbanhof (18 minutes), Alexanderplatz (23 minutes), Fridrichstrasse (26 minutes), Zoologischer Garten (35 minutes). The S-bahn city train goes from the same station. We can easily reach the center of Berlin with the S9 and S45 lines. The lines run quite often (every few-, several dozen minutes).
There is a taxi stand in front of Terminal A.
The drive time to the center is about 45 minutes. The approximate cost of travel is 30 euros.
