Podgorica
Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, is situated at an elevation of 44 meters above sea level, nestled between the Ribnica and Morača rivers. Home to about 180,186 residents (as of 2023), it is the largest city in the country. Historically known as Doclea and Ribnica, it was part of the Ottoman Empire and later Yugoslavia.
